What is the purpose of a logic question test in an IT Job Interview? [closed]

I went to interview a week ago for an IT position pertaining to tech support at Ameriprise. I applied and they liked my resume and experience. They then asked me to come in for the "first base."

I went in and they gave me 20 logic questions out of which I got 9 correct. After that he told me that they will call me to let me know in 1 week.

Does getting 9/20 right on a test like that means I will be rejected OR is it a way for them to know how I think?
